Oranges with Caramel and Pecans :- Do orange and caramel go together?

INGREDIENTS :- Serves 6
- 6 to 8 large navel oranges
- 1 clip hot water
- 1 cup sugar
- Chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup cold water
Oranges with Caramel and Pecans Step by Step
Step 1 Peel the oranges and refrigerate them.
Step 2 In a saucepan, mix the sugar with the cold water.
Step 3 Cook without stirring until a light golden brown.
Step 4 Add the hot water and cook until thick and syrupy. Cool.
Step 5 Remove the oranges from the refrigerator and cut out the pulp of each section with a sharp knife.
Step 6 Place in a shallow dish and pour half the caramel sauce over the oranges.
Step 7 Return to the refrigerator. Just before serving, pour on the remaining caramel sauce and sprinkle with the pecans.
Step 8 Serve on chilled dessert plates.
