Tomato Soup Recipe for all
Tomato Soup Recipe is exactly what this is: no fooling around, and truly the taste of the tomato. If you feel it is too acid, add a second pinch of baking soda.

Serves 4 to 6
- 5 to 6 medium-large tomatoes, peeled
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons crushed soda crackers
- 1/4 cup cold water
- Pinch baking soda
- Homemade Sour Cream
- 1 quart hot boiled whole milk
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- chopped parsley
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Step 1: In a 2 1/2 -quart saucepan, stew the peeled tomatoes in the cold water to which a pinch of baking soda has been added. When the tomatoes are soft, transfer them to a sieve and strain them over the saucepan to remove all seeds, letting the liquid and strained pulp fall into the pan.
Step 2: To this liquid add the milk, sugar, salt, pepper, butter, and soda crackers. Heat until hot and serve. To each serving, add a dollop of sour cream and a pinch of chopped parsley.
Note: You may use a good brand of canned tomatoes, but if you do, add some fresh ripe tomatoes as well, to give the soup a “fresh” tastes.
