Whipped Cream Sauce Elevate Your Desserts with Lemon – This is marvelous over strawberries.

INGREDIENTS :- Serves
- Makes about 31/2 cups
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1 cup (1/2 pint) whipping
- 2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
Step 1 Cream Put sugar, lemon juice, and lemon peel in the top of a double boiler
and place over direct heat.
Step 2 Cook, stirring, until blended, then stir eggs into the hot sugar mixture in the top of the double boiler.
Step 3 Place over simmering water and cook, stirring, until thickened.
Step 4 Chill in the refrigerator.
Step 5 Whip the cream until almost stiff and fold into the chilled lemon custard.
Step 6 Cover and chill until ready to use.
